UJ Pallazzio: A Direct-Booking Hotel Website, Then SEO and AI-Search Work
UJ Pallazzio is a business-class hotel in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, whose guests are largely pilgrims visiting Arunachaleswarar Temple, families and corporate travellers. I built its direct-booking website on Next.js in September 2026 and now run the site on a monthly retainer that covers maintenance, SEO, GEO (visibility in AI search answers), content and the Google Business Profile.

Who is UJ Pallazzio?
UJ Pallazzio describes itself as a business-class luxury hotel in Tiruvannamalai. The hotel's own site places it roughly 6 km from Arunachaleswarar Temple and about 4 km from the Girivalam path — the two distances almost every guest asks about before booking.
Demand in a temple town is shaped by the religious calendar. Full-moon Girivalam nights and Karthigai Deepam bring large numbers of visitors, and many of them plan the trip on their phones, often from other states.
What did the business need?
Hotels in pilgrim towns usually take a large share of bookings through online travel agencies, which charge a commission on every booking. The brief was a website that lets a guest check rooms and send a booking request directly to the hotel, with WhatsApp and a phone call one tap away for guests who would rather talk.
The second half of the brief was search. Pilgrims search for practical things — how far the hotel is from the temple, when Karthigai Deepam falls, how to do Girivalam, how to drive in from Chennai or Bengaluru. A hotel site that only shows rooms answers none of those questions, so it never appears for them in Google or in an AI assistant's answer.
What was built?
- Custom-coded hotel website on Next.js and React
- Quick-book enquiry form — name, phone, email, dates, room type and number of guests
- Three room categories, each with its own gallery and nightly price
- Guest reviews from Google and TripAdvisor shown on the site
- Location page with embedded Google Maps and distances to the temple and the Girivalam path
- FAQ section for common guest questions
- Travel-guide blog covering Girivalam, Karthigai Deepam and self-drive routes from major cities
- WhatsApp and click-to-call booking on every screen

How is the site set up for search?
- Hotel and LocalBusiness schema markup so search engines read the property as a hotel with an address
- Full on-page SEO — titles, descriptions, headings and internal links written around how pilgrims actually search
- Optimised WebP imagery with descriptive alt text
- Travel guides structured around the questions guests ask before they book
What the monthly retainer covers
The build was the start. Since September 2026 the hotel has been on a monthly retainer that combines SEO with GEO — making sure that when someone asks Google, ChatGPT or another assistant about staying near Arunachaleswarar Temple, the hotel's facts are available, consistent and quotable.
- Keeping the Next.js site maintained, secure and up to date
- Publishing pilgrim travel guides around Girivalam and Karthigai Deepam search demand
- Managing the Google Business Profile and the review flow
- Keeping the hotel's name, address, distances and room details consistent across the website, the Business Profile and listings
- Campaigns that push direct bookings rather than commission-based ones
When did each stage happen?
- September 2026 — Direct-booking website launched
- September 2026 — Monthly retainer started — maintenance, SEO, GEO and marketing
What are the results so far?
None are published yet, on purpose. The site launched and the retainer began in September 2026, which is too early for search data to mean anything.
Once there are at least three months of Google Search Console data — and the hotel agrees to share it — this page will be updated with real impressions, clicks and direct-booking enquiries, with the date range stated.
What does this project show?
For a hotel, the location page and the travel guides do as much search work as the room pages. They answer the questions guests ask before they are ready to book.
Direct booking has to be easier than the OTA, not just cheaper. That is why the form is short and WhatsApp is always visible.
